Laser treatment

That's what I've had today. I've got a condition called Retinopathy of Prematurity; this affects premature babies as the 'correct' blood vessels in the eye cannot form properly. To compensate, other blood vessels form but not properly and in time this causes scar tissue and can pull the retina away from the back of the eye - in the end causing blindness.

I'm not going to get that bad and the ophthalmologist has done the operation to stop the 'extra' blood vessels from forming and to make things better. Mummy and Daddy haven't seen me since the procedure this evening, but they'll know more on Monday and then more on the following Monday when they'll find out if the procedure was successful.

My eyes are fine, they just need to rest and when I've finished my update I'll catch some Z's and be bright eyed again tomorrow.

I've had a lovely day today though. I was going to have a bath but it got a bit chaotic in Room 1 so that'll happen tomorrow. I'm being a good boy with my food and have been out to play again. I didn't get a new mobile today, but I will do soon as there wasn't a nice one for Mummy or Daddy to get me.
