Look at me in my nice new outfit, I'm being a 'captain' today. It's the best outfit set that I've got as they actually fit me - my bum looks big because of the nappy; Daddy went to he shop to buy me some better sized ones as those that the hospital have at the moment are huuuooooooge, they're more like a sleeping bag! 
They've upped the pressure of the oxygen to 7 today, 6.5 was pushing it a bit for me, so I'm much more comfortable now. I normally like to sleep on my tummy, but I've been on my side and my back for most of the day and have been in the high 20%'s for oxygen requirement, isn't that showing off! I've grown by 40g's overnight, whatever that is... Mummy put 40g's of semolina in a bowl to see what it looks like, she says that it's quite a lot really... I'm now just over 2lb's 11oz's, knocking on the door of 3lbs - I've (well, Daddy has) worked out that I'll be 3lbs in about 125g's time, so if I put on a healthy 30g's a day then that's just over 4 days... wowzers!
Great Aunty Vally came to see me today, I think she's got healing powers... Lay your hands on me Aunty, you're nice and warm! She helped Mummy do my cares... I've got this great knack of wee weeing when I'm 'free'. Just at the vital moment of 'nappy-switch' is when I steal the moment... what relief it was though, I'd been storing it up for hours!I'm 9 weeks old tomorrow...

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say how cool I think you look in your blue outfit. I also have some new outfits to wear, but mine are mostly pink - much too girly for you - I think you suit blue much better. You are getting very big - you're catching me up fast.

Hello Oscar, Don't you look great in your little sleep suit, so cuddly and so adorable! Glad we were able to find something to fit you but the way you're gaining weight you'll soon grow out of them but we don't mind that because that'll mean your getting big and strong!
