Set off on the right foot...

Mummy decided to take a close up of my foot. Why, I don't know. She says that it's perfect, that I've got perfect toes. In fact one of my toes goes to market whilst the other stays at home; one has roast beef and Yorkshire pudding and the other has none; and one goes wee wee wee all the way home - has she gone bonkers? Perhaps I'll get her checked in so they can keep an eye on her... I'll probably be home before she is!!!

The word on the ward is that I might have an infection... I'm not convinced myself. I can wriggle, I can cry; I open my eyes and look around... in fact short of getting up and about, I feel fine. I'll find out if there's anything growing on my blood tomorrow, let's hope it's red and that any bugs are dead!

I'm on 12 mls/hour of milk; Mummy's going to find out when my food changes from continuous feeding to hourly feeds; Mummy and Daddy will be able to feed me all in one go then, then I'll be like my girlfriend Harriet. I'm still the same weight as I was yesterday, but after a super cuddle (albeit short) from Mummy today, I hope to put on more tonight. I hope to put on about 30g's... then I'll be a whole 3lbs!

I've been settled all day. When Mummy does my cares she puts me on my tummy and makes me comfortable, she then strokes my head and I go off to sleep. I'll snooze now, count some sheep, then sleep, yep - that's what I'll do...

  1. Dear Oscar,
We agree with your Mummy that your foot is very lovely as is the rest of you. We have watched you grow and grow every day and been up and down with you, your Mummy and Daddy and all the other people who obviously agree that you are indeed a very special little boy.
We are delighted with the wonderful progress you have made and look forward to seeing you again soon. When we last saw you you were a very poorly little boy and mostly blue; you are now lovely and pink!
with much love to you, your Mummy and Daddy

  3. What beautiful toes you have, your foot is a delight I can even see you ankle bone, mummy takes a good picture. If you have been wiggling today you must be feeling a little better, I wonder what this nasty bug is! Nearly three pounds in weight, my word you are growing so well. A good cuddle with mummy, that the ticket. You have a real good nights sleep tonight and I will read your blog tomorrow to get your next piece of news. Sleep well love you loads.
