...not me ...now that I haven't got any needles stuck into me. As I'm now on 5.5ml of Mummy's milk per hour... they've taken out my long line which connected me to the
TPN and lipids. And because any medication I'm having is orally down my gastric tube, I've no
cannula in either...

This means that the only things on me are those stuck to me. My sheep, lion and cat/dog/bear with the coloured wires (red, yellow and green), these measure my chest movement for respiration and my pulse. I've also got a red light taped to my foot which gives them the reading of oxygen saturation in my blood - this should be from 87% - 93%. If I go below 87 then they turn my oxygen requirement up and if I go above 93 then they turn it down... I was on 26 at the lowest point today... remember than the air you breathe is at 21%...! There is my mask of course and my gastric tube... but it's a whole lot less than before and I'm a whole lot more
compfy lying on my sheep blanket!

Daddy's going away again tomorrow for a whole week - that's 7 days, and we all know what can happen in 7 days, a whole lot... I'm hoping that I stay a good boy and that I put on lots of real weight. I also want to be breathing in air when he gets back... There's no limiting what I can do - I'll be bionic by the time he gets back... no, perhaps I'll just be a little bit older, a little bit maturer and a whole lot better.
I've gained a little weight, I'm now at 850g's... I can't wait to be 905g's as then I'll be 2lbs!

it's wonderful to see you with your eyes wide open, couldn't make out what colour they are, but will see for real on Wednesday morning. You seem to be doing all the right things and mommy and daddy must feel very proud of you.
ReplyDeletelots of love and will see you Wednesday.
