For the past few days I've been awake during your night time, but today I managed to be awake whilst I had visitors during the day. Grandma Pat saw me with my eyes open for the first time - so that means that I saw her for the first time...My tummy's still not right but I'm being given yet another antibiotic for my inside workings, we'll see what this does.
My breathing isn't being affected though, which is fab. The machine's giving me 37.5 breaths now not 50... The pressure's down to 18 which isn't as good as before but that's due to my tummy being swollen and getting in the way of my lungs.
I've cried a lot today as I've been uncomfortable, but after Daddy put his hands on me I calmed right down - thank goodness he was there.
Mummy gave me a wash all over and changed my nappy - Daddy even took a picture of me without any nappy on - that's for my eyes only!
Oscar, Oscar. No wonder you cried, look at all those wires and tapes and tubes - I cant bear it for you. You are doing SO well with your breathing, good boy. Thank heavens Daddy was there to soothe you. Keep going little one and see if you can learn to swim while you are in there - Back Lane is like a river! Lucy xxxx

Hello Oscar. My Mummy has told me all about you, I look at the photographs of you, they make me go arrrrr ! I like your box you sleep in, Mummy says it keeps you warm and helps you grow, that's cool I have to eat broccoli and carrots to grow they are ok, my favourite food is mussels you can have some with me when you're abit older Mum said.
