Skin, Hair & Eyes

I started off in a plastic bag which was to keep me warm and moist after being born... but was soon taken out of it - I'm told that this should be the only time that I put a plastic bag on - something about being dangerous...?!

If you'd put me in a bucket of water I'd have soaked it up like a sponge... if you'd have put me in the sunshine I'd have shrivelled up like a prune... I came out of Mummy's tummy all pink and lovely - a bit scrunched up, but I still looked great! Keratin was the protien missing from my wee body - this made it permiable. For a few days I was in my incubator under humid conditions - Mummy says that I could have been in a tropical environment - she says that she'll take me to one one day - that sounds nice! I'm not being humidified at the moment - that episode is now over. My skin is in very good condition for my age, it's all soft and smooth and is covered in little fluffy hairs. I could do with a bit of E45 to moisturise me, but at least I'm not all sticky now.
I hope all of this fluff falls off soon though - not my head hair, that's ok. I've got darkish hair on my head at the moment - hopefully it'll go blonde - Mummy's is and Daddy's was when he was younger. Because I'm so young, I need to get to grips with these eye things. Apparently I'll think it's great to be able to see, but I'm not sure what that means at the moment. There's piccies of me with this black thing over my eyes - it's due to the phototherapy which is helping my jaundice. My eyes are shut and can't open yet - I'll let you see me when I've got my eyes open which will hopefully be in a week or two's time...
