Mummy's driving me potty...

Hello folks; I'm a fast growing boy you know. I weigh about 20 lbs now and have graduated to my 'big boys' car seat. It's quite compfy and I can see things before they go past the window rather than 'blink and you'll miss it' when I faced backwards. I can see what Mummy and Daddy are doing now and they can see me a bit better. I'm very happy about this - however they do say that it's a lot safer to face backwards, so I've told Mummy and Daddy to drive extra carefully and to have their eyes peeled for those people that call themselves drivers but can't drive...

Mummy bought me a potty a few weeks ago. I hated sitting on it at first so she put it away; but I've now learnt that it's a great new seat. Mummy lets me sit on it every morning and evening so that I can get used to it. It's quite groovy really... I stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down and so it goes on... I haven't tiddled in it yet but I'm sure that Mummy will be delighted when I have; she already calls me a clever boy for just sitting on it... I can't go wrong! She says that the sooner I'm out of nappies the better, wouldn't it be great if I can wear proper pants by the time my brother or sister arrives!

Ellie and Gene's birthday parties were great! They both had a bubble machine - my favourite 'toy' (not that I play with it). At Ellies there were lots of babies and parents, we played party games and I won 2nd prize for pulling the most tissues out of a tissue box and also got a prize for opening the pass the parcel; Ellie's Mummy had wrapped a little prize in each layer so that we all got one. I loved playing in the paddling pool too, but got really worn out so had a well deserved snooze later in the afternoon, zzzzzzzzzzz!

At Gene's house there were me and Gene as the babies and there were Gene's cousins too. Gene's been poorly; he had to go into hospital on Thursday as he got a 'virus'. He's getting better now but the doctors can't say which virus it is... The symptoms were like meningitis - so needless to say that his Mummy and Daddy were stressed beyond stressed and both stayed with him that night... He was smiling again on Sunday; but I didn't get too close to him - I don't want to catch this 'virus without a name' thingy...! The party was great anyway, I met lots of his family and we had food and drink and a cake and the sun shone all day - it was a lovely Sunday avo!

This week sees more activity. Daddy's over at the house working hard to get it finished so that we can move in. The under floor heating's down and the screed on top, so all we need on the floor are the actual flagstones... The electrician started today - yippee, there is light at the end of the tunnel! The plumber starts on Thursday and it's all 'GO, GO, GO'! I'm going to see what they're up to this avo, you know, shimmy them on a bit!

I'm seeing Grandma Pat, Gt Aunty Andy, Gt Unc Terry, Aunty Leone, Cousin Maxi and I'm sure more folks this week. I'm staying all day on Friday with G'ma Pat, Gt A Andy and Gt U Terry - fun, fun, fun!

Harriet's birthday's the next one - she's jetted off to Austria this week, clocking up those air miles all ready... Come on Daddy, when are we going to Barbados? Getting further than the end of Long Compton's a difficulty at the moment; I should get a motorised pram so that I can take myself places...

Tartar for now though, moustache, I've got my morning beauty sleep to catch up on... I'm not the tidiest in my cot am I?!
