I'm quite partial to moving backwards too. When I lye on my changing mat (or generally any slippy surface), I do a great job of shimmying backwards. Mummy and Daddy'll have to watch out soon as backwards will turn into forwards and then I'll be off! I'm also quite partial to lying on my tummy. My head has got quite strong now and I like peering around to see what's going on, as well as doing press-ups and bringing my knees up towards my sides. Keep your eyes peeled though, one thing leads to another and crawling here I come.
I had a jab in my leg this week. It was a half dose of the flu jab so that I don't get that nasty bug... the other half dose is in a few weeks, that, I am not looking forward to. But Mummy rubs my leg and kisses it all better.Harriet and Gene are on top form. We said a big 'happy New Year' to each other this week. Harriet's still large - just how I like her and Gene's really getting tall (well, long!). We played for a while whilst our Mummies talked and talked and chatted and talked and chatted and talked some more. Time goes by very quickly when we're together. We'll all have to meet with Daddies n all soon, we've never managed to do this as when we'd arranged it last year, half of us were poorly ill. Hopefully soon, eh!
I'm going to get weighed on Tuesday, so I'll update you on that one then... and I'm going to start swimming. Mummy's got a con flab (coffee appointment) on Monday afternoon with my friends Mummy's (Ellie and Little Harriet). Mummy's got my swimming trunks at the ready, perhaps I'll try a bit of breast stroke - Daddy likes that one!
Hey Oscar,
ReplyDeleteI thought you liked leeks? I bet you're looking forward to all your new foods. I love natual yoghurt - it tastes best with a little bit of apricot and apple puree thrown in for good measure - yum, yum. I'm a big fan of sweetcorn - I like it mixed with carrots best. I've had cottage pie the past 2 days - it's yummy - a bit of carrot, a spot of onion, some organic mince and a bit of potato, and bob's your uncle - a scrummy dinner for me. You can have some next time you come to my place. Anyway - I thought I was doing well with my cup until I saw you with that great big glass - A toast to us, may we continue to grow big and strong.
Kisses,
Harriet xxx
Hi Oscar!
ReplyDeleteI thought you might like to know that you are a teacher now! We've got some medical students on special care at the moment and I set them to reading your blog to get an idea of what life is like when you are born at 24 weeks! They think you are very cute, obviously!
Lots of love,
Dr Nick x
