Injury

Daddy might love me very very much indeed, however he hasn't got 'the gentle touch as Mummy has. I scratched myself on the chin last night so the nurse advised that I get my nails cut - I've got my own special nail clippers - and Daddy thought he'd use them. It was all going well until the last nail, he didn't do as well as with the others, he 'nicked' my skin and caused a fiasco - I cried quite a lot, well, cried, grumbled and then settled down again - I think it was the shock that hurt more! AND, Daddy accidentally scratched my head with his watch strap - what a disaster!

Gt Grandma and Grandma came to visit today - they both took it in turns to hold me - Gt Grandma even got achy arms! I get weighed again tonight so we'll see how much weight I've put on over the last couple of days since my diuretics have been stopped (all in preparation for coming home so that I don't come home on lots of drugs).

Hopefully I'll be having my op on Tuesday and the nurses think that I'll be OK after the op (which if I'm a textbook case then I could be) and then I only need about 1 night in the flat and then I could go home - so possibly even as early as Thursday I could be sleeping in my bed at home! Saying goodbye is difficult though - I said goodbye to Dr Dora today, she is one of the special people that saved my life that has made me what I am today. There will be many more goodbye's I'm sure, each as difficult as the next.
